365 Days Of Adventure

I’ve set myself a challenge for 2014 : to have an adventure every single day! Over the course of 365 days, I’m hoping to explore the meaning of adventure, to get to grips with the adventurer’s mindset and to answer the following questions :

1. How will this experience change me?

2. What will I learn about myself, about life and about adventure?

3. What value lies in living life through the lens of adventure?

slackliningOne of the key premises underpinning my 365 Days of Adventure project is that the opportunity for adventure can be found anywhere if we look for it . We don’t have to go to foreign places or do “way out things” to feel the sense of aliveness that adventure can bring. (I should probably mention at this point that I do actually do “way out” things too 🙂 You can read about some of my “traditional” adventures here, here , here and here! )

The idea is that when we come to the realisation that adventure can be found  in the everyday routine of life, when we are open to experiencing so-called routine with the mindset of an adventurer, then we are conditioning a constant connection to the pulse of our own aliveness.

Or to put it another way, adventure brings us back into the world, back to being present to our experience and back to life.

I’m blogging about my adventures too,  so do feel free to check here  regularly to see what I’m up to. You can also receive updates by email by clicking on the “Follow” button.

I’m just going outside and may be some time!
