Adventures 38 – 42 ~ Abundant Gratitude

I’ve been away in Glasgow for a few days so I’ve a bit of catching up to do! In this post I’ve included 5 short videos that will bring you up-to-date with my adventures 🙂 .

Adventure 38 : Day 7 Of The Prosperity Game ~ I share my learning from the previous 7 days along with details of how I spend my daily credit from the Universal Bank (it’s a whopper today, by the way!)

Adventures 39 – 42 : Keeping A Gratitude Journal ~ I’ve never kept a gratitude journal before! I’m interested to see what happens when I place my awareness on the things I’m grateful for. The reason for keeping a gratitude journal are pretty compelling : you can read more about the benefits of gratitude here. You can even take part in an interactive quiz to see how grateful you are 🙂 . I took the quiz before starting and it turns out that I am more grateful than 75% of the American adult population. I feel grateful about that 🙂  and wonder what impact my gratitude journal may have on that figure.

Adventure 37 ~ On The Write Track

It’s day 6 of the Prosperity Game and things are really on the move now! Today I move closer to something that seems to have been there all the time. What reveals itself to me feels very familiar.

Here’s what happened today ~ and I’ve put some relevant links below the video. Even typing the words “link” makes me smile because, at some level, I think I’m actually creating neurological links that may be helping me to make really helpful changes.

(Just while I remember, I’m not going to be able to blog until next Tuesday but I will be continuing with my adventures. I’ll still be uploading videos to my YouTube channel everyday so you can watch how things are going there!)

You can find out how to select the right publisher here and you can see one of my potential publishers here  🙂 .

Adventure 36 ~ Putting My Own House In Order

Home sweet homeIt seems like my garden metaphor is really working for me : today it felt like I was actually playing the Prosperity Game. I was surprised what came to mind today and it’s made me think about my future in a different way.

If you’re wondering about the image : it’s my favourite room in my house in Scotland (I talk about it in today’s video).

5 days in and I’m getting the hang of it 🙂 . I’ve put links to some of my “purchases” and gifts below the video as usual.

See my Shaker kitchen here . See my bathroom here . See the animal rescue centre here

Adventure 35 ~ Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

Down into Kyle of LochalshThe title of this blog post probably brings the next line of this nursery rhyme straight to mind : “How does your garden grow?” And since yesterday’s round of the Prosperity Game , not only have lots of insights about my relationship with money come straight to mind, I’ve also made a new connection which I think is causing things to shift in surprising ways (just a small clue, it does involve gardening 😛 ).

So here’s what happened on day 4 🙂 . As usual, I’ve posted links to my “purchases” below the video.

You can see my expedition rowboat here and my recumbent tricycle (including trailer and accessories) here .

Adventure 34 ~ Have You Met My Fairy Godmother?

huskies 2After yesterday’s round of the Prosperity Game (which I found really tough), I had an idea that might help me to enjoy the game a little more and gain more insights into the resistance that emerged yesterday.

I decided to invite my Fairy Godmother to play the game with me : she is the part of me that wants to look after me and knows me really well. I’ll still be playing too and paying attention to how this dynamic affects my experience.

Here’s what happened when I let my Fairy Godmother take the strain.  I’ve supplied links to the “purchases” below the video 🙂 .

Read about my Arctic dog sled expedition on Exodus Travels’ website . See my hotel in Tórshavn here .

Adventure 33 ~ Getting Into A Flap

I’m going to get straight to the point. This whole spending money thing isn’t easy at all. I’m only on day 2 of the Prosperity Game and I’m already in trouble. I’m already learning loads. So I made a video to share what happened today (I got into a bit of a flap 😛 ).

Today, I also had a go at “Flappy Bird“.  It’s a game that’s taking the world by storm.  I was hoping for a little light relief from all that spending but it’s positioned as one of the most frustrating games on the planet.

The Prosperity Game ~ Day 2 I’ve put links to today’s major “purchases” below the video 🙂 . I felt uncomfortable about putting the links up, by the way!

Read about the Argentine tango lessons here . See 11 Cadogan Gardens here .

Flappy Bird I think I can safely say that when you’re laughing like this it feels like fun. Play Flappy Bird or spend £2000 : which would you choose?!

Adventure 32 ~ Ask And It Is Given

Handfasting 2I’m going to be straight with you. A book about the  Law of Attraction and Jane Talbot are a very unlikely match indeed. In fact, that match is so unlikely that it makes for a perfect adventure 🙂 .

I bought myself a book called “Ask And It Is Given” by Jerry and Esther Hicks. I leafed through it until a game caught my eye and the ground was set for an adventure!

Today, I’m playing “The Prosperity Game”  using an imaginary bank account. I chose this game because it offers the player the possibility of improving his/her ability to imagine and also because I am curious to learn more about my relationship with money. (There are other suggested benefits  described in the book ~  including prosperity, of course!)

Some people play this game  for up to a year. I’ve chosen to play for 7 days because I think that will be long enough for me to bump into some really interesting stuff!

I’m entering this adventure with an open mind and a playful spirit. Even though it’s only the first day of this 7-day game, I already got a valuable insight after my first “spending spree”. (There is a link to my “purchase” below the video).

You can see the dress I “bought” here 🙂 . Strangely enough, I actually feel like I really have bought it! And, in case you’re wondering, I’ve gone for it in bluey-green silk 🙂 .

I am just going outside and may be some time.
