Adventure 151 ~ Go To An Astro Tarot Webinar [And 2 Guest Adventurers!]

starGosh ~ it’s already the end of the month which means that this post is going to be a bumper edition! In this post, you’ll find a video entry for today’s adventure, my monthly adventure summary report and two guest adventurer videos too!

Today’s Adventure ~ Today I’m attending a astro- tarot webinar. I’ve never been to an astro tarot webinar before and I wasn’t really sure what it might involve. I read a little bit about tarot cards on Wikipedia, so I was expecting some divination to be going on. The description for the webinar mentioned an “energy forecast” and that piqued my curiosity enough for me to give it a whirl. Here’s how I got on ~

May’s Adventure Summary ~

Adventure 150 ~ Learn How To Use A Professional Webinar Platform

It’s been a really big day of adventure today! I’ve made my very first impulse purchase, learned how to use a professional webinar platform and made a welcome video for my webinar (I’ve put that video under today’s video diary entry).

Here’s the welcome video for my webinar! I’m calling the webinar “How To Be An Adventurer (Without Climbing Everest”) ~

Adventure 149 ~ Host A Webinar

monkeyWell, I’m nearly halfway through my year of adventuring and I’ve learned alot! For my next adventure, I’ve decided to have a go at running a webinar about the benefits of living adventurously. This will be my very first webinar  and today’s adventure has been all about doing the necessary technical groundwork 🙂 .

Adventure 148 ~ Diary Of A Romantic Novelist [Day 27]

beginningWell, the results of the editorial jury are now in and for today’s adventure, I spent a bit of time reading through all the feedback and deciding how I would make use of it.

I feel as if I’m standing on a threshold today ~ a new point of departure 🙂 . By the way, the running adventure I described in today’s video actually happened in 2010. You can read all about it here.

Adventure 147 ~ Tree Identification [3]

I’m secretly pleased to report that I am still awaiting feedback from one of my editorial team about my book. This has given me a great excuse to go tree hunting again!

Today, I’m out on the farm having a “field day” 😛 .

Adventure 146 ~ Tree Identification Two

Yesterday’s tree identification adventure was actually quite challenging ~ I felt like a bit of a sleuth and got great satisfaction from unravelling the mystery of the leaf 🙂 . This morning on my walk with my dog, my attention was grabbed by all the trees I hadn’t really noticed before. It was as if they were shouting  “Hey you! Why don’t you identify me?”

As I’m still waiting for some final pieces of feedback about my book, I’ve decided to follow the call of the trees and undertake a second tree identification mission. You can see how I got on in today’s video. (Images of the trees I identified can be found below the video.

Adventure 145 ~ Tree Identification

The world of romantic fiction can get pretty intense, so today I’m taking a bit of a break and trying something new. With the aid of a pocket guide to trees, I’m going to attempt to identify 3 different species of tree in a nearby street.

The aim wasn’t to identify a species I already know (to be honest, I don’t know that many!) but rather to venture into unknown territory. The experience has shown me how little I know about my immediate surroundings and I think I’d like to know more. I’ve place images of the trees I identified below today’s video.

Adventure 144 ~ Diary Of A Romantic Novelist [Day 26]

Today I have two adventures to tell you about! Last night I had a really helpful chat with writing coach, and published author, Katherine Bolton. She helped me to make a final decision about whether the Mills & Boon route was right for me, and she gave me some top tips about how to find the right publisher. You can find links to the book and website I mention in todays video here [ Writers’ And Artist’s Yearbook]  and here [Romantic Novelists’ Association.]

Today, I took some of Katherine’s advice . I also talked to a complete stranger about my book and their response was rather promising 🙂 .

Adventures 140 – 143 ~ Diary Of A Romantic Novelist [Days 22-25]

write for you 2 jpeg

Gosh. It’s been a BIG four days :

  • I’ve completed Chapter Three and passed the 8000 word mark ;
  • I’ve crafted the first draft of the synopsis ;
  • I’ve issued both the manuscript and synopsis for review by my editorial team.

And that’s all sounding good, right? Only, I’m beginning to feel a little bit uncomfortable. Further investigation reveals that I may have to depart from my own writing style (in quite a big way) and I’m not sure how I feel about that. The best word to express where I’m at right now is “crossroads”.

Today’s video is an amalgamation of the last 4 video diary entries.  After making today’s video, I heard myself muttering some sage words of advice to myself. When I wrote them down, I realised that there is a part of me that has quite a strong opinion about which way to turn 🙂 . “Sometimes you just have to do what’s write for you.”

I’m going to let things settle and I’m looking forward to speaking with my second author of the day tonight. I am open to the possibility of letting Mills & Boon go. I think 😛 .

Adventures 137 – 139 ~ Diary Of A Romantic Novelist [Days 19-21]

Over the last three days, I’ve enjoyed the gifts of dissociation, gained insight into my own need for internal peace and quiet, and gained a greater understanding of  the workings of the main female character . More importantly, the main female character has now made it up to Inverness (she was stranded in Peterborough for rather a long time!) The big “meet” is about to take place 🙂 .

Today’s video is an amalgamation of the last 3 days of writing adventures ~
